Meet at the corner of Calle Isabel La Católica and Calle El Conde to board the tourist train of the Colonial City of Santo Domingo.
During the ride, we will use headphones to listen to an English-speaking audio guide who will explain the various monuments we encounter. We will learn about the city's founders and significant events related to the buildings we see.
Fun facts include that Santo Domingo was the first seat of government of the Crown of Castile in the Americas. This historical journey on the Santo Domingo tourist train promises to be engaging.
The route will showcase more than 35 monuments, including churches, historic houses, the first castle in America, and the Cathedral of this Colonial City. This area, designated as a World Heritage Site by Unesco, boasts a rich Caribbean history.
