Itinerary
We'll start the tour in the Colonial City of Santo Domingo. This route will be interesting for all participants.
Firstly, we'll visit the Amber Museum, founded in 1996, which presents the history of this resin found in different caves on the island. In this gallery, you can admire precious pieces of stone in various colours, from yellow to blue.
Next, we will visit a distillery, where we'll learn about the production process of rum.
Then, we will head to a colonial market to explore traditional handmade goods, including colourful paintings, wooden sculptures, and musical instruments. There will be time for visits to souvenir shops and art galleries.
Afterwards, we'll visit a Tobacco Factory to learn about the production of this renowned product and its significance in the Dominican Republic.
To conclude the morning, we will discover Dominican cocoa at a local store before returning to the initial meeting point to finish the activity.
