Colours, jewellery, tobacco… all to come on this shopping tour around the markets in Santo Domingo. We'll also visit the Amber Museum and a Tobacco Factory.

Itinerary

We'll start the tour in the Colonial City of Santo Domingo. This route will be informative for all participants.

Firstly, we'll visit the Amber Museum, established in 1996, which showcases the history of this resin found in various caves on the island. You can view precious pieces of amber in colors ranging from yellow to blue.

For rum enthusiasts, our next stop will be a distillery where the production process will be explained.

The shopping tour will proceed to a colonial market featuring traditional handmade goods. Here, you will find colourful paintings, wooden sculptures, and musical instruments. There will also be opportunities to visit souvenir shops and art galleries for purchasing gifts.

Next, we'll visit a Tobacco Factory to learn about the manufacturing process of this renowned product and its significance in the Dominican Republic.
