Boat Tour Details

If you're in Portonovo and want to explore the Cíes Islands, meet at Rúa Rafael Pico where the ferry departs. You'll have the whole day to explore this impressive enclave. The Cíes Islands are known for hiking and long beaches such as Rodas Beach. At 7 pm, you must be at the port to return by ferry to Portonovo.

Want To Return Another Day?

If you wish to return another day, indicate this during booking. Camping on the islands requires prior authorization from the Galician Government.

Return and Guided Tours

If you wish to return on a different day, please indicate this when booking.

During the low season, between October 1st and May 14th, the ticket includes a one-hour guided tour. This is due to the prohibition of independent visits to the islands during the low season. The guide will accompany you on the boat trip from the departure port. Once you dock at the Cíes Islands pier, the guide will point out the main routes and explain interesting facts about the history, fauna, and flora of this paradisiacal Galician archipelago.

This tour, however, is not offered during the 10 days of the Easter peak season, that is, from the Friday before Easter week until Easter Sunday.

During the high season (from May 15th to September 30th and during Easter week), you must have authorization from the Xunta de Galicia (Galician Regional Government) to access the islands.

During peak season, you must obtain authorization from the Xunta de Galicia to access the Cíes Islands. This will be sent to you by email.

If you are camping, the campsite will process the authorizations. Remember that if your reservation is canceled, you will need to obtain new authorizations.

The authorization is not sent the rest of the year, as the guide will carry it with them on the day of the tour.

Authorization for Campers

If you camp on the Cíes Islands, the campsite must process the authorization. If you want to cancel your trip, contact the campsite first. You must ensure they cancel the authorization before contacting the shipping company for ticket cancellation. Once an authorization is linked to a shipping company, it cannot be transferred to another.
