If you're in Portonovo, you have the opportunity to visit the Cíes Islands, located in the National Maritime-Terrestrial Park of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia. After a boat ride of half an hour along the Atlantic Ocean, you'll arrive at the Cíes Islands and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

The islands offer Caribbean-style beaches and wild nature. You can spend your time sunbathing, swimming, or hiking on the trails available.

The return time will be between 5:30 and 6:50 pm, depending on the permit granted by the Galician government that season.

You can only request your permit from the Xunta de Galicia during the 30 days before your visit. Once processed, it will be sent to you.

Authorization for campers

If you decide to stay at a campsite on the Cíes Islands, the campsite must process the authorization. If you want to cancel, you must contact the campsite first. After cancellation, contact the shipping company to cancel your boat tickets within the refund period. An authorization linked to a shipping company cannot be transferred to another, requiring the cancellation and processing of a new authorization should you change shipping companies.
