As you arrive at the Portonovo dock, you'll embark on a ferry destined for the enchanting Ons Island, a part of the Atlantic Islands Natural Park.

Upon reaching Ons, you have the freedom to shape your own adventure. For those desiring a peaceful day, the pristine beaches offer a perfect spot to relax in the transparent waters. Alternatively, if adventure calls, you can explore various trekking paths available on the island (not included).

Another delightful option is to wander through the island's streets, reminiscent of a traditional Galician fishing village. You can stroll past quaint homes, explore local shops, and connect with the residents of this remarkable locale.

No visit to Ons Island would be complete without indulging in its exquisite traditional cuisine. An especially appealing experience is savoring a renowned octopus dish (not included) before your return ferry trip to Portonovo.

Important: Authorization for Visiting Ons Island

As a protected area, Ons Island has a daily limit on visitor capacity. It is necessary to acquire authorization from the Xunta de Galicia for access. Our tour operator will handle this process on your behalf, so please ensure all requisite and accurate information is provided during booking to facilitate your access to the island.

Once your authorization is processed, you’ll receive it via e-mail. It is crucial to carry this authorization, along with your voucher, either in printed form or on your mobile device.

Should any participant be unable to take part in the activity, you must notify us at least 15 days in advance and provide the name of the individual who will not attend, so that their name can be removed from the list by the Xunta de Galicia.

Return Schedule

The ferry schedules for the return journey from Ons Island to Portonovo are as follows:

Monday to Friday: departs at 6:30 pmSaturday and Sunday: departures at 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm

On Saturday, October 19, the scheduled departure will take place at 6:30 pm.
