On this excursion to the Ons and Sálvora islands, we'll set sail from Portonovo on the estuaries of Pontevedra and Arosa towards these two enclaves of the National Park of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia.
Ons & Sálvora Islands Day Trip
At the indicated time, we'll depart by ferry from the Portonovo dock towards the National Park of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia.
After 35 minutes of sailing on the Pontevedra estuary, we'll arrive at Ons Island. Once we disembark, you'll have 3.5 hours of free time in this enclave.
You can relax on the beaches, have a picnic, or stroll along the island's trails, including the path to the lighthouse of Ons.
After visiting Ons, we'll meet at the pier to continue sailing for 35 minutes to the Arosa estuary to reach Sálvora Island.
At Sálvora, we'll walk with a guide along designated paths to see the sculpture of the mermaid, the hermitage, and the lighthouse. After the visit, we'll sail back to Ons to pick up other passengers.
Finally, at 7:30 pm we'll sail from Ons Island back to Portonovo.
Important: Authorization to visit Ons and Sálvora Islands
The islands have a daily visitor quota, and it's necessary to obtain an authorization from the Xunta de Galicia for access. The local tour company will manage this process, so providing accurate information during booking is crucial. Once processed, you'll receive the authorization by e-mail. Bring it along with your voucher, printed or on your cell phone.
If you cannot attend, provide at least 15 days notice with the name of the absent person for the Xunta de Galicia to remove them from the list.
