At the designated time, we'll meet at the entrance of the Francisco Carrusca cork factory to start this guided tour of the factory, located on the outskirts of São Brás de Alportel, in the interior area of the Algarve.

During the tour, you'll learn how cork—an ecological material—is extracted from the cork oak tree. The process includes the selection of cork and the creation of various artisanal and decorative items.

We will cover the traditional processes to extract and work with cork and discuss the different objects and tools used for shaping, which vary based on the ductility of each cork variety.

This 1-hour tour concludes at the factory's store, where you'll have the opportunity to view and purchase various accessories crafted with cork fabric.
