History & nature combine perfectly in this excursion to Penedo, where you'll learn about the legacy of Emperor Pedro II & enjoy a boat ride on the São Francisco River.

Penedo Excursion + Boat Ride

After picking you up at 6:30 am at your hotel in Aracaju, we'll leave Sergipe for Alagoas, where the historic city of Penedo is located.

We'll first stop at the handicraft center of Santana do São Francisco and then head to the town's pier for a boat ride on the São Francisco River. This trip takes us to Penedo, on the Rota do Imperador, which follows the footsteps of Emperor Pedro II.

We'll disembark in the historical center of Penedo to visit the Church of Nossa Senhora das Correntes and the Imperial Palace Museum. After these visits, we will continue sailing to a sandbank called Croa, where you can take a swim in nature.

After the boat ride, we'll head to a restaurant for a buffet lunch featuring typical fish, shrimp, and chicken dishes.

Following lunch, we'll return to your hotel in Aracaju, arriving at 7 pm.
