São Joaquim Apple Tour

In this São Joaquim apple tour, we will explore the cultivation and distribution of apples. Participants will have the opportunity to pick their own apples directly from the tree.

Hotel pickup will occur at your chosen time. The apple crop accounts for over 80% of São Joaquim's economy.

The first stop is at the Company of Agricultural Research and Rural Extension of Santa Catarina (EPAGRI), which focuses on research and rural extension activities. Here, we will learn how the region has excelled in preserving, conserving, and sustainably using natural resources in agriculture.

Next, we will visit the apple processing facility to understand the stages from harvesting to distribution, which includes washing and selection. We will also learn about the notable apple varieties from São Joaquim: Gala and Fugi.

The tour continues to an apple orchard where participants can pick apples directly from the tree and taste them.

After four hours, the tour will conclude with drop-off at your hotel in São Joaquim.
