São Joaquim Bike Tour

At the appointed time we'll meet at Praça João Ribeiro, located in the center of São Joaquim. From there we'll start a bike tour to visit the most emblematic points of this municipality in the state of Santa Catarina.

The first stop of this 7 km (4.3 mi) bike route will be Igreja Matriz, São Joaquim's main church. Then, we'll proceed to the Monument to Manoel Joaquim Pinto to learn about the city's economic development.

Next, we will visit Praça Cesário Amarante and Praça João Ribeiro, where trees freeze in winter, showcasing a unique landscape in one of the coldest cities in Brazil.

We'll also explore the historic center of São Joaquim and the Municipal History Museum, an ideal location to learn about the city's history, including the presence of colonizers and the wood cycle in Brazil.

As part of the tour, there will be a stop at the Mirante dos Pinheiros, a viewpoint where you can admire araucarias that reach up to 50 meters (164 feet) in height. At this stop, you'll have a bottle of water and apple chips to refuel.

Finally, after three hours, we'll conclude the tour at the starting point.
