Travel to Nova Trento and discover the Italian legacy in this town in inland Brazil. We'll visit its sanctuaries and check out the city of Brusque, where we'll visit its department stores.

Nova Trento & Brusque Excursion

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Florianópolis early in the morning and head towards the northern part of the state of Santa Catarina. After a little more than an hour's drive, our first stop will be in São João Batista, known for its more than 150 shoe factories. We'll visit a traditional market with local products.

Next, we'll proceed to Nova Trento, influenced by Austrian, German, Polish, and Italian immigration from the late 19th century. Around midday, we'll take a break for lunch at a typical Italian restaurant (lunch not included). Our next stop will be the Sanctuary of Santa Paulina, the first Brazilian saint and a significant attraction in Santa Catarina.

Following the sanctuary, we'll visit a vineyard to learn about the wines of Nova Trento, as well as a chocolate factory, where we'll discuss what makes these products special.

Lastly, we'll head to Brusque for shopping. We will take you to FIP (Feira da Moda), offering hundreds of stores. You'll have about two hours for shopping at your leisure. We'll return to Florianópolis at approximately 5 pm.
