Nova Trento & Brusque Excursion

Travel to Nova Trento and discover the Italian legacy in this town in inland Brazil. We'll visit its sanctuaries and check out the city of Brusque, where we'll visit its department stores.

Nova Trento & Brusque Excursion

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Florianópolis early in the morning and head towards the northern part of the state of Santa Catarina. After a little more than an hour's drive, we'll make our first stop in São João Batista.

This town is known for having more than 150 shoe factories. We'll visit a traditional market with local products.

Next, we will continue to Nova Trento, notable for its Austrian, German, Polish, and Italian influences due to significant immigration in the late 19th century.

Around midday, we will break for lunch at a typical Italian restaurant (lunch not included). We will then visit the Sanctuary of Santa Paulina, the first Brazilian saint and a major attraction in Santa Catarina.

After the sanctuary, we will visit a vineyard to learn about the wines of Nova Trento and a chocolate factory, where we will discuss the uniqueness of these products.

Finally, we will travel to Brusque, ideal for shopping. We will visit FIP (Feira da Moda), featuring hundreds of stores. You will have about two hours of free time for shopping.

We will return to Florianópolis at approximately 5 pm.
