Meet at the Praia Grande pier at the indicated time for a free walking tour of the historic centre of São Luís do Maranhão. The city serves as the gateway to the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The tour covers main attractions including the Palácio dos Leões (Government House), Plaça dos Poetas (with views of the São Marcos Bay), and Rua Portugal, known for picturesque views. Expect to visit the Market of Tulhas for local products and see the architecture featuring Portuguese tiles. The tour also includes the Reggae Museum, São Luís Cathedral, and Beco Catarina Mina Alley, which has stone carvings, eateries, and shops.

The tour lasts between 2 hours and 2.5 hours, concluding in the centre of São Luís.
