Tour Details
We will meet at the designated time in front of the Faculty of Tecnologia in São Paulo. From here, we will stroll through the main streets of the Bom Retiro neighborhood, influenced by the migration of various ethnic groups including Italian, Jewish, Bolivian, and Indigenous communities.
Our first stop will be at the Municipal Historical Archives of São Paulo, formerly the Polytechnic School. You will learn about the history and evolution of this Brazilian district while admiring its facade. Next, we will visit the Casa do Povo, a cultural center that preserves the memory of Bom Retiro's community.
We will then proceed to the Oswaldo de Andrade Cultural Workshop and the working-class neighborhood of Michele Anastasi. From here, we will discover the culinary traditions of different towns in Bom Retiro, with opportunities to try typical sandwiches at the Otugui and Casa Búlgara stores.
Finally, we will walk to Calle Tres Ríos, recognized as one of the most interesting streets in the world. The tour will conclude after 4 hours at UM Coffee café, where you can enjoy a cup of coffee if desired.
