Explore the beautiful Brazilian city of flowers on this excursion to Holambra. You'll see colorful fields of tulips, chrysanthemums and daisies... An unmissable visit!
Description
After being picked up at your hotel in São Paulo at 8:30 am, you'll head north towards Holambra, known as the City of Flowers.
The city’s name comes from a combination of "Holland" and "Brazil," founded by Dutch settlers who recreated their homeland with tulip gardens and windmills.
After about a two-hour journey, we'll arrive in Holambra to start our tour. Visiting the flower farms, we'll learn about the cultivation stages of each species and you can take photos among the flowerbeds, which include gerber daisies, daisies, and chrysanthemums.
Next, we'll have a sightseeing tour of Holambra to see key sites like the Flower Market, Praça Van Gogh, Pioneers House Museum, and Town Hall Square. We’ll learn about the history of the Dutch immigrants who founded Holambra.
We'll visit the Deck do Amor, a pier at Vitoria Regia Lake where couples attach padlocks, and Moinho Povos Unidos, a replica of a typical Dutch water mill.
After the city tour, you'll have free time for lunch or shopping before returning to São Paulo, where we'll drop you off at your hotel around 3:30 pm.
