Admire São Paulo from the highest point of the city on this hike to Pico do Jaraguá, where you'll walk along the Pai Zé Trail surrounded by a lush forest.

Hike Details

Interested in climbing up to the highest point in São Paulo? After meeting at the designated time at Rua Oscar Freire number 2500, we'll head toward the Jaraguá State Park, one of the city's natural sites. The hike covers a 1.86-mile (3-kilometer) route, beginning on the Trilha do Pai Zé (Pai Zé Trail), which traverses both the Atlantic and Cerrado forests.

Along the trail, you will observe the local fauna while learning about the area’s ecology and its preservation despite urban proximity. We will make a stop at the old residence of Alfonso Sardinha to discuss its historical context as a slave trader during the colonial era.

Upon reaching the stunning Pico do Jaraguá, enjoy the scenic views of the city and Serra da Canteira, along with a sandwich and water. After the hike, we will return to the starting point, concluding the adventure after a total of 6 hours.
