The Pinacoteca is a key museum in Brazil, housing over 10,000 works of art. Participants will explore the 19th-century building and view significant pieces from its extensive collection, which includes paintings, sculptures, engravings, and photography. Notable works include bronze statues by Auguste Rodin and paintings by Almeida Junior. After the guided tour, there will be an hour for lunch at Praça da Luz.
After lunch, participants will reconvene at the center of the square, where the iconic Estação da Luz is located. Here, they will learn about the history of Brazilian trains and their evolution.
Adjacent to the station is the Museo da Lingua Portuguesa. This museum explores the origins of the Portuguese language and its spread across South America, Africa, and Asia.
The tour concludes at 4:30 pm at Praça da Luz.
