Join us on this excursion to Quilombo da Fazenda, a village formed by descendants of African slaves. Experience their culture and the nature of Ubatuba in one day.

Quilombo da Fazenda Tour

We will meet at Vergueiro metro station at 1:45 am. After boarding the minibus, we will travel for approximately three and a half hours towards Ubatuba.

We will arrive at Quilombo da Fazenda around 5:30 am and start our visit with a breakfast.

We will explore the daily life of the families in Quilombo da Fazenda and their connection to nature, highlighting the preservation of Afro-Brazilian traditions.

A key site will be the Casa da Farinha, an operational colonial mill essential to the community, where we will learn about manioc flour production. We will also visit Casa de Artesanato to understand the local handicrafts.

The excursion includes a walk through the surrounding forests to the waterfall of the Fazenda River, where a refreshing dip awaits. Lunch will feature typical Quilombola dishes such as fish with banana, rice, salad, cupuaçu juice, and fruit.

Next, we will hike to Fazenda beach, where you will have three hours of free time for swimming in its calm waters.

We will conclude our tour and return to the minibus, estimating arrival back in São Paulo by approximately 8 pm.
