Sao Roque Day Trip

Are you a wine enthusiast? With this day trip to Sao Roque, known as the city of wine, you'll try excellent wines and visit the Cacau Show chocolate factory.

Description

We'll leave Sao Paulo in the morning and head towards the wine region, with Sao Roque as the primary destination. The town is located approximately 43 miles (70 km) from Sao Paulo. Upon arrival, you will visit 4 of the most famous wineries in the area. At these locations, you'll taste various wines along with typical cheese and sweets, and also sample cachaça.

The first stop is at Vinícola Terra do Vinho, where you'll learn about the production of house wines, liqueurs, and sparkling wines. Next, we will visit Vinícola Canguera, known for its fine, full-bodied wines. The tour continues at Frank's Winery, which offers a selection of house wines, before moving on to Vinícola Canquera and Palmeiras, home to Vinícola Goes, the largest and most traditional winery in the region, ideal for photos.

After a lunch break at Vinícola Quinta do Olivardo, a typical Portuguese house, we'll learn about the production process of "Vino de Muertos." The tour will conclude with a shopping stop at La Mega Tienda, situated within the Cacau Show chocolate factory.

This day trip includes hotel pickup from hotels within a 4-mile (6 km) radius of Praça da Sé. If you're staying outside this area, pickups will occur from number 2355 on Avenida Paulista.
