Are you hungry for adventure? Satisfy your cravings with a trekking experience in the Serra da Cantareira mountains. Plus, there are unbeatable views of Sao Paulo!
Description
In the morning, we'll leave Sao Paulo and set out on a 30-minute bus journey towards the north of the city, where we'll enter the Cantareira State Park, a 7,900-hectare natural reserve.
Once we're among the Serra da Cantareira mountains, we'll stop to learn about the park's history, which served as a trade route in the 15th and 16th centuries.
The adventure begins with a 1.5-km trek on the Macuco Trail, where we'll observe the local flora and fauna on our way to the Cantareira dam, the water source for Sao Paulo.
We will continue for 3.5 km along the Waterfall Trail, crossing the River Engordador, where there will be an opportunity for a refreshing dip. We'll then arrive at Casa da Bomba, an element of the historic hydraulic system.
Before returning to Sao Paulo, there will be 45 minutes of free time to explore and take photos of the scenery.
Hotel pickup
This trekking experience includes hotel pick-up from hotels within a 4-mile (6 km) radius of Praça da Sé. For those staying in another area of São Paulo, we'll meet you at 2355 Paulista Avenue.
