Are you hungry for adventure? Satisfy your cravings with a trekking experience in the Serra da Cantareira mountains. Plus, there are unbeatable views of Sao Paulo!
Description
In the morning, we'll leave Sao Paulo and embark on a 30-minute bus journey to the north of the city, arriving at the Cantareira State Park, a 7,900-hectare natural reserve.
Once in the Serra da Cantareira mountains, we will learn about the park's history as a trading route in the 15th and 16th centuries. Our trek begins on a 1.5-km section of the Macuco Trail, where we will admire the local flora and fauna, heading towards the Cantareira dam that supplies water to Sao Paulo.
Next, we will continue for 3.5 km along the Waterfall Trail, crossing the River Engordador, where there will be an opportunity to take a refreshing dip. The trek concludes at Casa da Bomba, a historic site that was part of the old hydraulic system.
Before returning to Sao Paulo, you will have 45 minutes of free time to enjoy the natural beauty and take photos of the scenery.
Hotel pickup
This trekking experience includes hotel pick-up from hotels within a 4-mile (6 km) radius of Praça da Sé. If you're staying elsewhere in São Paulo, we will meet you at 2355 Paulista Avenue.
