Are you in Sapporo? If so, join us on this trip to Noboribetsu and Lake Toya and discover a town with the most famous hot springs in Hokkaido and a lagoon in a volcanic caldera.
Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at Sapporo Station to begin this day trip to Noboribetsu, a town famous for its hot springs and volcanic landscape. Once in Noboribetsu, we'll visit Jigokudani, a crater formed about 10,000 years ago, and Oyunuma Pond, a hot spring with sulphur water. Depending on the season, you can take an open-air dip and enjoy the surroundings.
Afterwards, we'll proceed to Lake Toya, a freshwater lagoon surrounded by mountains and forests. Upon arrival, we'll admire its beauty and allow time for photos.
We'll also visit the Showa Shinzan Bear Ranch, where you can observe about 100 Hokkaido brown bears. Then, we will head to the Touyako Sero Lake Observatory in Shikotsu Toya National Park for a panoramic view of the area.
The next stop will be in Otaru, known for its well-preserved old canal and 19th-century warehouses. During our lunch break, you'll have the opportunity to taste local sushi.
After 10 hours, we'll return to Sapporo Station.
