Description
We'll convene at Sapporo Station at the scheduled time to kick off our day trip to Noboribetsu, celebrated for its unique hot spring baths and striking volcanic scenery. Are you ready to explore some of the region's key attractions?
Upon arrival in Noboribetsu, our first destination will be Jigokudani, a remarkable crater formed approximately 10,000 years ago, along with Oyunuma Pond, known for its sulphuric hot waters. Depending on the season, you may have the chance to enjoy a soothing open-air bath while immersing yourself in the natural beauty surrounding you.
Next, we will proceed to Lake Toya, a nearly circular freshwater lagoon encircled by majestic mountains and lush forests. Once we arrive, take delight in its breathtaking vistas and seize the opportunity for some amazing photographs.
The itinerary also includes a visit to the Showa Shinzan Bear Ranch, home to around 100 Hokkaido brown bears, where you can observe them being fed. Our adventure will culminate at the Touyako Sero Lake Observatory in Shikotsu Toya National Park, offering a stunning panoramic perspective of the region.
As a final highlight, we will make a stop in Otaru, a historically significant port town in Hokkaido known for its beautifully preserved old canal filled with 19th-century warehouses and its famed fresh seafood. During our lunch stop here, you'll have the chance to indulge in a delicious serving of sushi!
After a fulfilling day, we will reconvene back at Sapporo Station approximately 10 hours later, ready to bid farewell.
