Noboribetsu & Lake Toya Day Trip

Are you in Sapporo? If so, join us on this trip to Noboribetsu and Lake Toya, and discover a town with the most famous hot springs in Hokkaido and a lagoon in a volcanic caldera.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll meet at Sapporo Station to begin this day trip to Noboribetsu. Once in Noboribetsu, we'll visit Jigokudani, a crater formed about 10,000 years ago, and Oyunuma Pond, a hot spring with sulphur water. Depending on the season, you can take an open-air dip and relax in the surroundings.

Next, we'll travel to Lake Toya, a freshwater lagoon surrounded by mountains and forests. We will admire its natural beauty and allow time for photography. We'll also visit the Showa Shinzan Bear Ranch to observe approximately 100 Hokkaido brown bears. The final stop will be at the Touyako Sero Lake Observatory for a panoramic view of the area.

Our tour will continue to Otaru, known for its well-preserved old canal and 19th-century warehouses. During our lunch break, you’ll have the chance to enjoy fresh sushi. After approximately 10 hours, we will return to Sapporo Station.
