National Park of Blue Eye + Lekuresi Castle Tour

We'll meet at Skënderbeu 67 at 9 am, then we'll board a bus to the Blue Eye lagoon in Albania. This site has been declared a protected Natural Monument.

Upon arrival, we'll explore this area, observing Mali i Gjërë Mountain and the natural freshwater spring. The Blue Eye spring is the largest among the 18 freshwater springs in the Mali i Gjere area, resembling a big blue eye with shades of dark and light blue. The spring is about 50 metres (164 feet) deep and surrounded by lush vegetation.

We'll also visit the ruins of Lekuresi Castle, believed to date back to 1537 during an attack on Corfu by Sultan Sulejmani, known as Suleiman the Magnificent. The castle is located on a hilltop above the city of Saranda, offering views of the bay of Saranda, the road to Butrint, and the islands of Ksamil and the Island of Corfu.
