Yann Bouchard, a regional local, conceived the idea of presenting notable Loire Valley monuments as limestone miniatures. Sculptor Philippe Cormand created these pieces, displayed in the museum. Information panels throughout the museum provide the story of Yann Bouchard and Philippe Cormand, detailing their collaboration to establish this underground museum in Saumur. Notable replicas include Tours Cathedral, the Royal Abbey of Our Lady of Fontevraud, and the Castle and Tower of Trèves.
