Yann Bouchard, a local enthusiast, envisioned showcasing prominent monuments of the Loire Valley as small limestone sculptures. The sculptor Philippe Cormand created these works, which are displayed in the museum. During your visit, information panels will narrate the story behind the collaboration between Bouchard and Cormand in establishing this underground museum in Saumur. Notable replicas include Tours Cathedral, the Royal Abbey of Our Lady of Fontevraud, and the Castle and Tower of Trèves.
