Visit the Pierre et Lumière sculpture museum and discover the miniatures of the most beautiful monuments of the Loire Valley, from Anjou to Touraine.

Entrance to the Pierre et Lumière Sculpture Museum

Yann Bouchard, a local from the region, conceived the idea of showcasing the beautiful monuments of the Loire Valley through small sculptures in limestone. Sculptor Philippe Cormand created these works displayed in the museum. Throughout the visit, information panels narrate the collaboration between Yann Bouchard and Philippe Cormand that led to the creation of this underground museum in Saumur. Monuments such as Tours Cathedral and the Royal Abbey of Our Lady of Fontevraud are featured. As you walk around the museum, identify the tiny replicas.
