Entry Ticket for the Mushroom Museum
Upon presenting your ticket at the entrance, you will gain access to the museum's underground chamber, initiating your exploration. Stroll through this captivating and enigmatic space while uncovering the mushroom cultivation scene unique to Saumur. Impressively, this region produces an annual yield of around 10 tons of mushrooms, including varieties such as oyster and shiitake. During your experience, you will have the chance to observe over 250 species of wild mushrooms - welcome to Europe's largest mushroom exhibition!
Your visit culminates in a special feature: the troglodyte house. This area, hewn from limestone tufa, showcases a range of artifacts connected to mushroom cultivation from various parts of the globe.
