On this day trip, we'll explore the province of Siena, visiting the villages of Monteriggioni, Pienza, and Montepulciano. We will enjoy two wine tastings along the way.
Tour Details
We’ll meet at the Villa Constanza bus terminal on the outskirts of Florence. Our first stop will be Monteriggioni, where you’ll have 40 minutes of free time before visiting a local winery for our first tasting of Tuscan specialties: three glasses of wine, olive oil, and fresh bread.
Next, we’ll proceed to Pienza, known for its architectural beauty designed by Pope Pius II. You’ll have 1 hour and 20 minutes to explore highlights like Corso Rossellino’s palaces and the Santa Maria Assunta Cathedral.
Our final stop is Montepulciano, where you’ll have 1 hour and 45 minutes to admire its Renaissance buildings. We’ll also visit a local winery to learn about prestigious wines, including the Brunello, and enjoy a tasting of four wines paired with local delicacies.
We’ll conclude the trip with a return after an 11.5-hour adventure.
