Balata, Saint-Pierre, and natural landscapes are featured in this tour of northern Martinique from Fort-de-France.
Description
We'll pick you up from your chosen meeting point in Fort-de-France and head towards the northern part of the island.
The first stop will be at the Balata Sacré-Cœur Church, where we will compare its architecture to that of the Sacré-Cœur in Paris. Next, we will visit the Balata Garden, a 3-hectare botanical space filled with tropical flowers and plants.
After the garden, we'll continue through a tropical jungle to a restaurant for a typical island lunch. Following lunch, we'll visit the coastal town of Saint Pierre, learning about the Pelée volcano eruption in 1902 that affected the area.
The last stop will be at a rum distillery for tasting various Caribbean drinks.
We will return to the meeting point in Fort-de-France, arriving 7 hours after the initial pickup.
