If you're in Sciacca and you'd like to visit Sicily's capital, we've got it covered! On our day trip to Palermo and Monreale, you'll explore 2,500 years of history and visit an incredible cathedral with gold Byzantine mosaics.

Palermo & Monreale Day Trip

Starting at 8:15 am, we will pick you up from your chosen meeting point and depart Sciacca for Palermo. The minibus journey to Sicily's capital takes just over 1 hour.

Our first stop is the Catacombs of Palermo, where you'll have 30 minutes of free time to explore this funerary complex, providing insights into life and death traditions from the 17th to the 19th century.

Next, we will visit the historic centre of Palermo, allowing 3 hours for you to explore at your leisure. Important monuments include the Cathedral, fountain in Piazza Pretoria, Massimo Theatre, and the Norman Palace, one of Europe’s oldest royal residences. You may also enjoy local cuisine at traditional markets such as Capo or La Vucciria.

After lunch, we will drive through the Conca d'Oro Valley to Monreale, where you'll have 1 hour 30 minutes to visit the town. The cathedral, dating from 1174, features numerous biblical mosaics and is complemented by charming squares.

We will then return you to the starting point, dropping you off around 6 pm. See you next time!
