Syracuse & Ortigia Island Day Trip
Meeting at 6:45 am at your chosen location, we'll board a minibus to Syracuse. The drive from Sciacca takes 3 hours 30 minutes.
The first stop is the Neapolis Archaeological Park, where you'll have 1 hour 30 minutes of free time. You can explore this ancient site in Syracuse.
During your visit, you'll discover the origins of the city, including a Greek theatre, a Roman amphitheatre, ancient altars and temples, and caves used as prisons.
We will then travel to Ortigia, the old town of Syracuse, where you will have 4 hours of free time to explore the island.
Here, you can learn about the birthplace of the famous mathematician Archimedes and the city's significance 2,700 years ago. The area is a World Heritage Site.
As you walk around Ortigia Island, you'll see the ruins of the Temple of Apollo, the Cathedral, the Fountain of Arethusa, and the Maniace Castle. You can also enjoy local gastronomy.
The day trip concludes at 8 pm when we return you to the starting point.
