Walking Tour of Oban

At the agreed time, we will gather at the entrance of the Oban War and Peace Museum near the harbour to commence our guided journey through this lesser-known gem on Scotland's west coast, often referred to as the gateway to the Hebrides.

Oban, which translates from Gaelic as "little bay," boasts one of Scotland's most picturesque bays. During the tour, we will have the opportunity to see its renowned distillery, recognized as one of the oldest in Scotland, established in 1794!

As we continue, we will stroll past the War and Peace Museum, where you can delve into significant events from Oban's history, such as the intriguing tale of the Dutch vessel SS Breda.

Our tour will culminate with a visit to the McCaig Tower, an impressive structure akin to a coliseum, offering stunning vistas of Oban and its landscapes. Here, you will uncover the story behind this remarkable icon of the town.

This guided tour of Oban will conclude in the heart of the town after approximately one hour.
