Port Louis, The Capital and Pamplemousses Garden with Lunch

Coaches reach the Pamplemousses Garden Parking and guides regroup their clients. The tour starts with a visit at the Saint François d’Assise Church which is one of the oldest churches in Mauritius. Guided visit of one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world known as the Pamplemousses Garden.

Stop at the Tamil Centre for some pictures. Arrival at Sugar World, an ancient Sugar Cane Factory transformed into an extraordinary modern museum: free tasting of rhum and of special sugar followed by a visit to the shop.

Lunch will be served at the “Le Fangourin Restaurant” Coaches reach Port-Louis. Arrival at La Citadelle, an ancient military fort to take photos of the panoramic view of the Capital City. (Explanation of Champs de Mars, Marie-Reine de La Paix, Pagoda, Saint Louis Cathedral and the main buildings)

Departure for the Centre Town of Port-Louis while passing in front of the Municipality of Port-Louis, Port-Louis Theatre, the National Assembly, the Government House and La Place d’Armes.
