See the world's largest Buddhist and Hindu monuments on this tour to the temples of Borobudur and Prambanan. You'll discover pyramids, pagodas, and the fascinating history behind them!

Description

We will pick you up at your hotel in Semarang and drive through Central Java for about 3 hours. Our first stop is the Borobudur temple, the largest Buddhist monument in the world. We will explore this grand pyramid with nine platforms and 504 statues of Buddha. We will learn about its origins and understand why it's the most visited Buddhist pilgrimage site in Indonesia.

Next, we will visit the Pawon and Mendut temples, learning about the connection between these sites. Afterward, there will be 1 hour free for lunch on your own (not included).

We will then head to Prambanan, which consists of over 200 Hindu temples. We will explore this site and learn about its historical significance, including the foundation stone placed in 856.

Our tour concludes after 10 hours, and we will escort you back to your hotel.
