Discover the colonial-style monuments of Java island on this private tour of Semarang. You'll encounter churches, temples, and the rainbow village.
Tour Details
At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Semarang and start exploring the historic city center. You'll discover colonial-style architecture, including a stop at the Blenduk church, where Protestants and Catholics have shared an altar for centuries.
Next, we will visit Lawang Sewu, known as "the building of a thousand doors." This mansion, built in 1917 for the Dutch railway company's headquarters, served as a prison during World War II and is considered one of the most haunted places in Indonesia.
You will have 1 hour of free time for lunch (not included) and rest. Afterward, we will admire the Chinese temple Sam Poo Kong and stroll through its gardens, noting its red roofs.
Then, we'll drive 15 minutes to Kampung Pelangi, where residents painted their houses in bright colors, earning it the name "rainbow village."
Finally, we will take you to your chosen finish point, concluding the adventure between 6 pm and 8 pm.
End Point
When making the reservation, choose whether you prefer to finish the tour at your hotel in Yogyakarta, back at your hotel in Semarang, or at the Semarang airport.
