This unmissable guided tour of Gyeongbokgung Palace takes you on a journey through 600 years of history. Discover the secrets of the main residence of the Joseon Dynasty.
Description
After meeting up at the indicated time at the Gyeongbokgung metro station exit (opposite the stairs opposite the National Palace Museum doors), we'll start our guided tour of Gyeongbokgung Palace, one of Seoul's most important palaces.
We will approach the Gwanghwamun Gate, the main entrance to the palace complex. You will hear about its fascinating history, including wars, invasions, and fires, as it is one of the most emblematic symbols of Seoul's long history.
Inside the palace, we will visit the throne room (Geunjungjeon), the King's office, and the private chambers of the King and Queen, including Sajeongjeon, Gangnyeongjeon, and Gyotaejeon. You will learn about the most representative figures of the Joseon Dynasty.
Additionally, we will see the Amisan Garden and the Gyeonghoeru Pavilion, a temple built on a beautiful artificial lake, while enjoying views of the spectacular Bukaksan Mountains. An unforgettable sight!
The guided tour will conclude after 2 hours at the exit of the palace.
