This unmissable guided tour of Gyeongbokgung Palace takes you on a journey through 600 years of history. Discover the secrets of the main residence of the Joseon Dynasty.
Description
After meeting at the Gyeongbokgung metro station exit (opposite the stairs facing the National Palace Museum doors), we'll begin our guided tour of Gyeongbokgung Palace, one of Seoul's most important palaces.
We will approach the Gwanghwamun Gate, the main entrance to the palace complex. You will learn about the fascinating history of this landmark, which is a significant symbol of Seoul's long history.
Inside the palace, we will visit the throne room, known as Geunjungjeon, along with the King's office and the private chambers of the King and the Queen, specifically the Sajeongjeon, Gangnyeongjeon, and Gyotaejeon. As we explore, we will learn about key figures of the Joseon Dynasty.
Additionally, we will see the Amisan Garden and the Gyeonghoeru Pavilion, a structure constructed on an artificial lake, and enjoy views of the Bukaksan Mountains. The tour concludes after 2 hours at the palace exit.
