Seoul Full Day City Tour with Tickets
Having been picked up from your hotel in Seoul at the scheduled time, you'll begin your full-day guided tour of the city's most important places of interest. First up on your route will be the Blue House, the office and official residence of the South Korean president. You'll soon see how it earned its name!
From the Blue House, you'll head to Gyeongbokgung, a royal palace originally built in the 14th century by the Joseon dynasty, where you'll have the chance to watch the changing of the guards. This seemingly commonplace ritual is unique compared to other countries, as it is celebrated with colour and music in Seoul.
After watching the changing of the guards, you'll enter Gyeongbokgung Palace itself, where your guide will reveal the fascinating details of its majestic interior.
Continuing your immersion into South Korean culture and history, you'll next make a stop at the National Folklore Museum. Here, you'll have the opportunity to learn all about the way of life and traditions in Korea.
You'll also visit the Ginseng Centre and the Jogyesa Temple, which is one of the country's most important Buddhist temples, before stopping for a well-earned break and a hearty lunch in a traditional local restaurant.
After lunch, you'll next visit the Changdeokgung Palace, one of the best preserved palaces from the Joseon Dynasty. Your guide will explain the history of this Korean royal family while you take in the details of the palace and its architecture.
The final stop on your tour will be the historic Insadong district of Seoul, a lively neighbourhood home to typical tea shops and souvenir stores.
