Tour Details
At the scheduled time, we'll meet along the ER379-1 Highway to start this hiking route through the Arrábida Natural Park. Once the introductions are made, we'll start the hike through this place full of nature and history. The park was established in 1976 to ensure the preservation of the local flora. The greatest attraction of the park is its rich vegetation, which includes one of the few examples of the Mediterranean maquis.
The walk will take us along a path through the cliffs between Sesimbra and Cabo Espichel, where we will appreciate the native species and biodiversity of the area. We'll share many interesting facts during the hike.
Over a distance of 7 kilometers (4.35 miles), we'll admire the Arrábida mountain range, which rises above one of the most beautiful coasts of Portugal. We will walk between the sea and the mountains, learning about the wildlife, history, and traditions of this natural area in the Lisbon region. Four hours later, we will finish the hiking activity in the Arrábida Natural Park at the starting point.
