Details of the Day Trip
Your adventure begins at 9 am when we will meet you at the designated pick-up locations in Seville and set off towards the historic Caliphal capital, Cordoba.
After a short break in Carmona, a charming white village nestled in the province of Seville, we will arrive in the stunning city of Cordoba, recognized as one of the 15 Spanish cities honored with a World Heritage Site status.
A guided exploration of the historic center of Cordoba will follow, where you will enjoy a leisurely stroll that includes the Roman Bridge, the atmospheric old Jewish quarter, the impressive Royal Stables, and the Synagogue (which is closed on Mondays). We will also visit the vibrant courtyards of Cordoba, perfect for capturing memorable photographs.
Once we complete the tour of the old town, you will have time for lunch at your convenience, with recommendations from your guide. You’ll also enjoy 30 to 45 minutes of free time for either shopping or exploring at your own pace.
In the afternoon, an in-depth visit to the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba is on the agenda. Inside, you will marvel at its stunning golden mosaics and intricate decorations showcasing a multitude of arches, along with the mihrab that points towards Mecca. The breathtaking contrasts here will reveal why this site is celebrated as a hallmark of Western Islamic artistry.
After concluding the guided tour of the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba, we will head back to the meeting points in Seville, arriving by approximately 7 pm.
Kindly note that an English-speaking guide for the Mosque-Cathedral can only be assured if there is a sufficient number of participants. Otherwise, the local tour provider may offer options for joining a group in another language or utilizing an audio guide. The guided portions of the tour will be conducted in English.
