Sierra de Aracena Full-Day Trip Itinerary
We'll collect you from the meeting point and start our approximately 10-hour day tour.
Our route will pass through the Dehesa de Sierra Morena, declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 2002. These ecological spaces host various animals, including "brave bulls" and acorn-fed Iberian pigs, used for the renowned Jabugo "jamón Ibérico." The town of Jabugo is notable for its product.
Upon arrival in the historic Aracena, we will visit essential sights such as the Aracena Castle, built between the thirteenth and fifteenth centuries. This castle was significant during the Middle Ages for its strategic location. We will also explore the Gruta de las Maravillas, a notable underground network opened to the public in 1914.
On our way back to Seville, we will enjoy the Mediterranean forest of La Peña de Arias Montano. Additionally, we will stop at Almonaster La Real to view what is believed to be the oldest mosque in Spain.
We will return to Seville at 7 pm.
