Disconnect from modern life with this trip to the Sierra de Aracena where you will explore locations such as Río Tinto and the Dehesa de Sierra Morena.
Sierra de Aracena Full-Day Trip Itinerary
We will collect you from the meeting point and begin our approximately 10-hour tour.
The route includes the Dehesa de Sierra Morena, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve since 2002. This area hosts diverse wildlife including "brave bulls" and acorn-fed Iberian pigs, known for producing high-quality Jabugo "jamón Ibérico." The town of Jabugo is renowned for this product.
We will arrive at historic Aracena where we will visit Aracena Castle, built between the 13th and 15th centuries, significant in the Middle Ages for its strategic location. We will also explore the Gruta de las Maravillas, one of the first underground networks opened to the public in Spain in 1914.
On our return to Seville, you will appreciate the landscape of the Mediterranean forest of La Peña de Arias Montano. A stop will be made in Almonaster La Real, home to what is thought to be the oldest mosque in Spain.
We will return to Seville at 7 pm.
