Itinerary for the Full-Day Sierra de Aracena Tour

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your selected meeting point, setting off on a full-day itinerary spanning roughly 10 hours.

The journey will take you through the Dehesa de Sierra Morena, a UNESCO-designated Biosphere Reserve since 2002. This extraordinary area is rich in biodiversity, home to various wildlife, including "brave bulls" (toros bravos) and acorn-fed Iberian pigs, which are essential for producing the renowned Jabugo "jamón Ibérico." The town of Jabugo is celebrated for this exquisite delicacy, enhancing Huelva’s reputation.

As we traverse these exceptional landscapes, we will arrive at the historic town of Aracena. Here, we will explore one of its most notable landmarks: the Aracena Castle, constructed between the 13th and 15th centuries, which played a crucial role during the Middle Ages due to its strategic location. Additionally, we will venture into the impressive natural caves of the Gruta de las Maravillas. Opened to visitors in 1914, this underground marvel ranks among the earliest caves accessible in Spain.

On our return journey to Seville, you will have the chance to admire the stunning Mediterranean forest of La Peña de Arias Montano. We will pause in the picturesque town of Almonaster La Real, famous for housing what is believed to be the oldest mosque in Spain.

We will conclude our day by returning to Seville at approximately 7 pm.
