Tour Highlights
Our meeting point is Exit 4 at Shaanxi South Road subway station at the scheduled time, marking the beginning of our free tour through the Shanghai French Concession.
We will start with a stroll down Middle Huaihai Road, known as Avenue Joffre, and view the historic Cathay Theater façade, learning about its significance in show business.
Passing by the former Shanghai French Club, we will share stories from 100 years ago before heading into a local neighborhood with traditional Shanghai houses and alleys.
Next, we will explore Culture Square, home to the grand former residence of Zhou Enlai, showcasing typical French Concession architecture. Nearby, the Sinan Mansions feature distinctive architecture.
The tour will end at St. Peter's Church and the former French courthouse, concluding in the Tianzifang area, known for its shops. The total duration is three hours, finishing next to Dapuqiao subway station.
