Private Tour of Shanghai's Jewish Quarter
We will pick you up from your hotel and head to the Hongkou District, where Jewish refugees established their home in Shanghai.
During the tour, we will visit the Ohel Moishe Synagogue and the Jewish Refugee Museum. Following this, we will proceed to the Jewish community commemorative plaque located in Huoshan Park. The tour will cover the challenges faced by the refugees and the support they received from local residents.
Next, we will explore Doulun Road, a pedestrian street rich in historic buildings, museums, galleries, libraries, and cafes, showcasing Shanghai's cultural diversity. This area has been frequented by many notable writers, artists, politicians, and revolutionaries.
Along the way in Hongkou, we will pass landmarks such as the Lu Xun House, Museum of Modern Art Shanghai, and Duolun History Museum, which illustrates the history of the street from the 19th century onward. We will also see the Kong Xiangxi Temple, established by a Chinese banker and politician.
After 3 hours exploring the Jewish Quarter of Shanghai, we will return you to your hotel.
