Want to discover the Venice of China? On this day trip to Suzhou, we'll discover the city's charms, from its canals to its stone bridges. The city's landscape will leave you speechless!

Description

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the entrance to the Hengshan Garden Hotel, and from this hotel in central Shanghai, we'll make our way towards the so-called Venice of China.

After a journey of around 2 hours, we'll arrive at Suzhou, a city known for its canals. The tour starts with a visit to the Master of the Nets Garden, a World Heritage Site. Here, we'll see how Chinese landscape artists combined art, nature, and metaphysical architecture.

We'll then head to a restaurant in the historical centre for a traditional lunch featuring a local dish. After lunch, we will visit the Suzhou Silk Mill to observe the silk fabric production process.

The tour continues with a walk along Shan Tang, considered the most beautiful street in Suzhou. We will stroll along the canal's banks, admiring traditional houses and picturesque landscapes. This area is regarded as one of the most beautiful streets in the world.

After exploring Shan Tang, you will have an hour of leisure in the centre of Suzhou to discover the historic centre at your own pace, enjoy tea, and shop for traditional lanterns or handicrafts.

Finally, we will reconvene in the centre of Suzhou for our return to Shanghai, scheduled to arrive at the meeting point 9 hours after pickup.
