Feel like Indiana Jones in 'The Last Crusade' with this day trip to Petra, the Jordanian city which was once the capital of the Nabataeans.

Day Trip to Petra

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh to begin this excursion.

We'll arrive at the Nuweibaa port, approximately two hours away on the Sinai Peninsula, where we'll board a ferry to Aqaba, taking around two hours.

In Aqaba, we will transfer to a bus for a 2-hour trip to Petra, where we will visit the Petra archaeological site, the ancient capital of the Nabataeans. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is known for 'The Treasury' (Al Khazneh), a temple carved into the sandstone rock. It is notable for its association with the Holy Grail in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

We'll also explore the remains of the amphitheatre and the Corinthian tomb, significant archaeological sites in the Jordanian desert. We will learn about the Nabataean civilisation and its historical relevance through engaging stories at this site.

Following the archaeological visit, we will enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet lunch in Petra.

After lunch, we'll return by bus to the Aqaba port, take the ferry back to Nuweibaa, and then board the bus back to your hotel, arriving around 10 pm.
