Feel like Indiana Jones in 'The Last Crusade' with this day trip to Petra, the Jordanian city which was once the capital of the Nabataeans.

Day Trip to Petra

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh to begin this excursion. Are you ready?

We'll arrive at the Nuweibaa port, approximately two hours away on the Sinai Peninsula, where we'll board a ferry to Aqaba, taking around two hours.

Here we'll board a bus for a 2-hour trip to Petra. While there, we'll visit the Petra archaeological site, the ancient capital of the Nabataeans. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is known for 'The Treasury' (Al Khazneh), a temple carved into sandstone rock, and recognized as the resting place of the Holy Grail in the film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

We'll also visit the remains of the amphitheatre and the Corinthian tomb, significant archaeological sites in the Jordanian desert. We'll learn about the Nabataean civilisation and its historical relevance through the narratives embedded in this site.

After the site visit, we'll enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet lunch in Petra.

We will then return to the Aqaba port by bus, take the ferry back to Nuweibaa, and finally, return to your hotels, arriving around 10 pm.
