Theth Tour

At the agreed time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Shkodra and head north to visit Theth, a natural paradise in the Albanian Alps. Before arriving, we'll stop at the Qafe Thore viewpoint, an old guard station offering a panoramic view of the Theth valley. We will then continue to the village of Theth, rich in history.

Upon arrival, we’ll visit a bujtina, a local hostel, to learn about the traditional side of Theth. Founded in the 17th century by Albanian Catholics for refuge from Ottoman invasion, the village has remained isolated for over three centuries.

After this, we will explore the streets of Theth on foot, discovering its church and iconic tower houses. Highlights include the church of Theth, built in 1892 and renovated in 2005, and the Reconciliation Tower, associated with traditional family feuds and blood revenge 'gjakmarrja'. We will also appreciate the stunning natural environment that surrounds Theth.

Finally, after eight hours of sightseeing, we will return to your hotel in Shkodra.
