Stykkishólmur Coast Kayak Tour

We will meet at Austurgata Street to commence the kayak tour along Stykkishólmur's coast. This adventure will allow us to discover the marine wildlife of western Iceland.

After introductions, we will distribute the equipment and start kayaking in the Breiðafjörður Bay, known for its unspoiled islands and wildlife. We will depart from the port of Stykkishólmur to explore the area's highlights.

During the 2-hour tour, we will paddle surrounded by a landscape of volcanoes and glaciers. As you become comfortable with the kayaks, we will venture further from the coast to search for puffins and seals.

The tour will include an exploration of the remains of a shipwreck. We will approach this vessel and discuss how and why it ended up there. Finally, we will share the history of the wild and rugged Snaefellsnes peninsula before concluding the kayak tour at the original meeting point.
