East Java Volcano Tour: 3 Days from Surabaya to Bali

Mount Bromo and Ijen volcanic crater are two significant natural phenomena in Java. This three-day tour of Indonesia concludes in Bali.

Description

Day 1: Surabaya Airport

Your adventure starts with a guide meeting you at Juanda International Airport or the Surabaya train station. You'll be transported through East Java to your hotel at Mount Bromo, with a three-hour journey that includes a stop for a hearty lunch before an overnight stay.

Day 2: Mount Bromo

On Day 2, depart the hotel at 3:30 am in an all-terrain Jeep to reach Gunung Penanjakan. Enjoy a sunrise from a viewpoint over 9000 feet (2,770 metres) above sea level, witnessing the Bromo and Seremu volcanoes. After this, descend to the caldera and ride on horseback up the slopes of Mount Bromo. Post-visit, breakfast will be at the hotel before proceeding to Ketapang for relaxation.

Day 3: Ijen – Ketapang – Bali

On your final day, meet at 2 am to visit the Ijen volcanoes. Experience the unique turquoise lake and electric-blue flames of the volcano. After exploring, return to Ketapang to catch a ferry to Gilimanuk, concluding your tour.
