Floating Village Tour Itinerary

On the morning of your tour, you'll be picked up from your hotel in Siem Reap and head to the river port where you'll board a boat. As you cruise up the river, you'll pass the lush green rice paddies essential to the country's economy.

Sailing up the river, you'll reach traditional Cambodian pagodas, markets, and houses where local people live their daily lives. The wooden buildings that make up the village of Kampong Phluk are constructed upon stilts in the Tonle Sap Lake, making it a true floating village.

You'll discover how people live in this unique setting and learn about the importance of the different seasons in their routines. In certain months, rising and falling water levels completely change how the population of around 3000 people live and work.
