Phnom Kulen Trip
Between 7:40 am and 8:10 am, pickup from your hotel in Siem Reap will occur, followed by a drive of approximately 45 kilometers (27 miles) north to Phnom Kulen, the Holy Mountains of Kulen.
Phnom Kulen National Park features the ruins of the ancient city of Mahendraparvata. A guide will provide insights into the historical significance of this sacred site.
You will see the River of a Thousand Lingas, characterized by a hand-carved riverbed, created in the 9th century. The area includes traditional Apsara figures and Vishnu statues submerged in the water.
The next destination is Preah Ang Thom Pagoda and the summit of the mountain, home to the giant reclining Buddha. Time will be allocated to admire the pagoda's architecture integrated into the rock surface.
Continuing the tour, you will visit the Kulen waterfall for a chance to enjoy a refreshing dip in the natural pool. Lunch will follow; participants should bring their own picnic.
Guests will return to their hotels in Siem Reap around 4:30 pm.
