Phnom Kulen Trip
We'll begin your adventure between 7:40 am and 8:10 am with a pick-up from your hotel in Siem Reap, followed by a 45-kilometer (27 miles) drive north to the Holy Mountains of Kulen.
Phnom Kulen National Park features the ruins of the ancient city of Mahendraparvata. Accompanied by our guide, you'll explore this sacred site and uncover its fascinating history.
As you immerse yourself in Phnom Kulen, you’ll see the intriguing River of a Thousand Lingas. This remarkable riverbed, carved by locals in the 9th century, is adorned with traditional Apsara figures and Vishnu statues submerged beneath the water.
Next, we’ll visit Preah Ang Thom Pagoda at the mountain summit, home to the giant reclining Buddha. Take a moment to admire the impressive architecture of the pagoda, beautifully integrated into the mountain's rock formation.
Your itinerary includes a refreshing stop at the Kulen waterfall, where you can enjoy a dip in the natural pool. Please remember to bring your own picnic for lunch to savor in this scenic spot.
