Phnom Kulen Trip
Pickup will occur between 7:40 am and 8:10 am from your hotel in Siem Reap, followed by a 45-kilometer (27 miles) drive north to Phnom Kulen, the Holy Mountains of Kulen.
Phnom Kulen National Park features the ruins of the ancient city of Mahendraparvata. A guide will provide insights into the history of this sacred site.
While in Phnom Kulen, you will see the River of a Thousand Lingas, featuring a hand-carved riverbed created in the 9th century, alongside traditional Apsara figures and Vishnu statues submerged in water.
The tour proceeds to the Preah Ang Thom Pagoda at the mountain summit, where the giant reclining Buddha is located. Time will be allocated to admire the pagoda's architecture integrated into the mountain.
Your next stop will be the Kulen waterfall, allowing for a refreshing dip in the natural pool. A lunch break will follow, so please bring your own picnic.
Return to hotels in Siem Reap is expected around 4:30 pm.
