Angkor Wat Private Tour Itinerary

After being picked up from your hotel in Siem Reap at your selected time, we will drive to the Angkor complex, the capital of the Khmer Empire from the 12th century until the 1400s and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The guided tour starts at the southern gate of Angkor Thom, the last Khmer kings' seat before the Thai conquest in the 15th century. We will explore the Bayon temple and its bas-reliefs of smiling faces, as well as the three-tiered Baphuon Temple featuring a reclining Buddha.

Next, we'll visit Ta Prohm Temple, an ancient Buddhist monastery entwined with jungle vegetation and known for its connection to the filming of Tomb Raider.

After a lunch break, we will proceed to Angkor Wat, the most important temple, which has continued to serve as a place of worship. Designed to represent Mount Meru, it transitioned to a Buddhist center by the end of the 12th century, where you may see Buddhist monks meditating.

Following an engaging day of exploration, we will return you to your hotel in Siem Reap.
