Let yourself be captivated by the rhythms of Apsara: spend an evening enjoying a performance of traditional Cambodian dance and a buffet dinner.
Dinner & Apsara Dance Show: what to expect?
Your cultural evening will begin in a tuk-tuk, a typical mode of transport in Asia. You will be picked up from your hotel in Siem Reap at around 6:30 pm and taken to the Theatre of Folklore in the city center.
Once at the theatre, you will enjoy a traditional Cambodian show featuring dancers from across the country in local costumes performing classical ballet. The Apsara dance, with origins in the 7th century, forms part of Cambodia's cultural identity linked to Hindu and Buddhist mythology.
You will also be provided with a buffet dinner, featuring typical Cambodian specialties. A highlight is the traditional dish known as "amok", which consists of curry steam-cooked in banana leaves and can include various ingredients like chicken or fish.
At approximately 8:30 pm, you will be returned to your hotel, concluding the evening.
