Excursion to San Gimignano & Montalcino
Join us at 72 Giuseppe Garibaldi, where our bus journey will begin towards the stunning town of San Gimignano. This captivating location is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, easily identifiable by its iconic medieval towers.
After a 40-minute ride, we will reach our first destination. Here, guests will have 2 hours of leisure to wander through San Gimignano. We suggest taking a leisurely walk along its quaint streets to explore beautiful squares like Piazza del Duomo, featuring the Collegiata della Assunta di Maria, and Piazza della Cisterna, formerly the site of the medieval marketplace.
Our next stop will be at a local winery, where you will indulge in a tasting of the exquisite wines from the Chianti region, which has a winemaking tradition dating back to the 13th century. Enjoy an hour of sampling these local wines paired with salami, cheeses, and other delightful appetizers.
The journey continues through the Orcia Valley, another treasured part of Tuscany, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2004. We will proceed to Montalcino, perched above a landscape dominated by 1,500 hectares of Brunello vineyards that have earned this region its global reputation.
To conclude the day, we will visit another winery to taste the illustrious Brunello di Montalcino, one of Italy's most celebrated and historic wines.
At the end of this 11-hour adventure, we will return you to our starting location.
