At the appointed time, we'll meet in Piazza Salimbeni by the Sallustio Bandini statue to start this guided tour of Siena from one of its most emblematic squares. We will explore the Piazza del Campo, discussing the Palio di Siena, an equestrian competition held since the Middle Ages that remains popular today.

We'll walk through the historic center of Siena, admiring palaces like Palazzo Tolomei and Palazzo Salimbeni, which provide insight into Siena's past.

Next, we will see the Basilica of San Domenico, known for housing a mummified head, and then approach Piazza del Duomo for a guided tour of the baptistery and the Siena Cathedral.

Inside the cathedral, there is a significant collection of masterpieces, including La Maestà by Buoninsegna and a sculpture of St. Paul by Michelangelo Buonarroti.
