Finca 6 Archaeological Site Excursion

We'll meet at 8 am at Sierpe's Pier and set off by road to the north of the town.

After a 15-minute drive, we'll arrive at the Finca 6 Archaeological Site, where we'll see remnants of the Diquís culture, a pre-Columbian civilization from the Osa canton of Costa Rica.

The guided tour of the Finca 6 Archaeological Site, a World Heritage Site, will include observing the mysterious stone spheres of the Diquís culture. We will explore the purpose and construction of these enormous spheres.

The tour continues with a visit to the museum of Finca 6, where we will see four original pieces: a sphere, a statue with a spike base, a sculpture of a feline, and a ceremonial grinding stone. We will learn about their functionality and relevant aspects of the Diquís culture.

After our museum visit, we'll return to Sierpe, arriving between 10 am and 10:30 am.
